“Nothing is impossible; there are ways that lead to everything, and if we had sufficient will we should always have sufficient means. It is often merely for an excuse that we say things are impossible.” -Francois De La Rochefoucauld
Decisions, decisions, decisions! We all have to make them, whether we want to or not. By not making a decision, you are still making a decision not to make the decision. Hence, we all make decisions all the time on a daily basis, whether we realize it or not. Those decisions we make (or not) determines change in our lives. Change is good. We need change in order to learn, grow and flourish from the experiences we encounter. Making decisions is not always the easiest thing to do, especially if you are aware and want good and better for your self. Even the “wrong” decision is not really “wrong” because with that decision you make, you learn from it; well, again, it is your choice if you want to learn from it or not. It may take you longer to get where you want to go but at the same time, I believe you will still end up at the same place regardless of the decision you make. Take for example, me. When I was younger, I was always into art. At the age of 15 when my mother passed away, I choose to put art aside and chose to make some “bad” decisions for myself. From those bad decisions I made, I decided to learn not to repeat them after awhile and now many, many years later, I found myself back to my passion: art. So here I am right where I left off when I was 15; making the choice to continue to do what I love. Therefore, by learning from every choice we make in our daily lives, it is what makes us stronger and builds us into a healthier way of being.
“Good decisions come from experience. Experience comes from making bad decisions.” –Mark Twain
There are also choices that you will not be so sure of, and again, I believe in saying “yes” and doing something out of your comfort zone, for this creates a more open mind for yourself. By deciding yes to do things you typically would not do, leaves open more opportunities and gives you a sense of not looking back on your past and regretting that you did not do it. Decision making is very important and really putting your mind into deciding and choosing on what to do should really play a huge role in your life. Not a role to overwhelm or add stress, if anything it should be enjoyable….after all, this is your life we are talking about. Make your life worthwhile, make it fun! Choose to have the “Let’s Do It” attitude!
…These are my Just My Random Thoughts on Decisions, decision-making and Change. It all comes down whether you do it or you don’t do it.
“It is our choices…that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.” –J. K. Rowling
Here is to saying, ‘yes’ to another experience with positive results, that came across my path: How I came across The Wills Wellness System.
