
“Hurt feelings or discomfort of any kind cannot be cause by another person. No one outside me can hurt me. That’s not a possibility. It’s only when I believe a stressful thought that I get hurt. And I’m the one who’s hurting me by believing what I think. This is very good news, because it means that I don’t have to get someone else to stop hurting me. I’m the one who can stop hurting me. It’s within my power. Think about this. People only complain about things they can do something about. We don’t complain about the things we have no power over. Have you ever heard anyone complain about gravity? No, never!!! The circumstances we complain about are, by their very nature, situations you can change, but you have chose not to. You CAN get a better job, find a more loving partner, make more money. But why don’t you simply do those things? Its because they involve risk. You run the risk of being jobless, left alone, being wrong, failure etc. (Remember!) Complaining is not meant to be a lifestyle!!!
