FlowerHand: Arts and Crafts.

Aside to the left is a photo of the “FlowerHand” arts and crafts I created with my three-year-young toddler. In this post I will provide for you six easy, guided steps on how to make this cute, little fun arts and craft project. This project can include people of all ages. Please be sure there is supervision when needed with the use of the supplies to make the “FlowerHand” which include:

o Scissors
o Glue
o Wire String
o Paper
o Sticks (i.e. popsicle sticks)
o Markers/Crayons (or any other writing utensil of your preference)

Here are the six steps that will help guide you through to make the FlowerHand.

1.) Color and/or design the Popsicle stick– this will be used as the stem of the FlowerHand.

2.) Draw or trace the hand you wish to use for the ‘flower’ part of the FlowerHand.

3.) Cut out how many hands you desire to use. In the photo above I used six cut-out hands.

4.) Glue the cut-out hands to the stick (make sure if you designed the sticks and hand to make sure they are facing the same way). Then glue the cut-out hands to each other in layers and glue at the bottom of the cut-out hands as you build on top of one another.

5.) Wrap and attach the fuzzy wire string also known as pipe cleaners (this is what I call them, they are the pink, blue and yellow wires in the photo below)–wrap one of the ends of the wire around the stick two to three times (according to the size of your wire string) about a quarter of the one end of the popsicle stick. Bend wire in half at middle and wrap that end of the wire around the stick as many times as it allows.

6.) Color and design your FlowerHand to your liking using your crayons, markers or other decorative materials.

Most importantly, have fun while creating! 🙂
