It’s the first thing in the morning, do you wake up and just go… OR …do you take time to set your intentions and prayers for the day? Maybe you wake up already feeling in a bad mood instantly… OR …maybe you feel really well and excited to get on with your day. Me? I wake up feeling grateful for all I do have. But I was not always like this. I woke up hating life before, hating myself. I had so much anger built up inside of me. I never seen the good in things and I was just flat out miserable. I woke up in the morning not wanting to get up… because I felt there was nothing out there for me. Not until I learned I am to provide myself my own happiness, my own purpose, my own reasons why I should go on with my day.
“Burning desire to be or do something gives us staying power – a reason to get up every morning or to pick ourselves up and start in again after a disappointment.” -Marsha Sinetar
Yes, life can be overwhelming at times which causes me to stumble and hit a few bumps as I slide down the rainbow but nothing I cannot overcome. Life has so much beauty and color in it that I have started opening up to the peace, joy and happiness that it has to offer. Life is magical and the best part about life is that I believe we get to create our own reality because there is something deep inside of me just as there is in you and all of us beings. It is about searching and finding ourselves through creating ourselves to whoever we want to be. Therefore, I go to bed grateful for the day I just had and I wake up with positive, feel-good intentions of how I would like my day to play out. I learn to grow and love myself more and more each day by setting goals and achieving what I desire to do with my day. I do what I love, I spend time with the people who make me happy, I have faith in the best and I trust in just that because everything always turns out just the way it should. The beautiful thing about life is that we all have choices and decisions all day, every day. We have the control to feel and do whatever we want to do. I choose love, joy, happiness…what do you choose?
“Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.” -Groucho Marx
Obstacles occur and they are bound to be in all of our lives but what makes or breaks us are our attitudes along the way. I learn if my attitude is not too well (negative) when dealing and coping with life encounters, I am put into a situation repeatedly until I learn the “right” manner/attitude to handle it. I do what I can to work on me, a better me. One way is by looking at the brighter side to every situation. I stay aware and conscious and I ask/see why that something is ‘happening’ in my life by asking myself how I can learn from this particular situation and continue on with my journey of being curious and learning in/from each moment. Working on being the best me that I can possible be is a challenge in itself… But it is well worth it because what I am doing; whatever I am doing…I do notice a positive change in myself with how much I have grown and the best part- I am having fun and enjoying it wholeheartedly. This path that I am currently on for the past many years has benefited me and my life in so many ways… I have the best people in my life I could ever ask for and I am free to create, to live, to do art, to love, to be happy and to be the light that I Am ~ that we all are.
“We are each gifted in a unique and important way. It is our privilege and our adventure to discover our own special light.” -Mary Dunbar
To transform life, to transform you, it all starts within. To set intentions and believe, to put action into you and to have a pleasant attitude and be patient along the way because I have learned when I ask for something, it may take 10 minutes or it could take 5 days, a month, a year, however long it takes (I keep my faith that all is being rearranged and worked out with my Higher Source/God/Universe) and during the in-between times, I just go with the flow and trust all is OK, good and well (because it always typically IS).
“Today I choose life. Every morning when I wake up I can choose joy, happiness, negativity, pain… To feel the freedom that comes from being able to continue to make mistakes and choices – today I choose to feel life, not to deny my humanity but embrace it.” -Kevyn Aucoin
Let’s keep on moving forward by living what we believe in and love doing. Release and let go of the past, focus on this very moment and embrace and create the new you of who you really want to be.
“Life is a series of experiences, each one of which makes us bigger, even though sometimes it is hard to realize this. For the world was built to develop character, and we must learn that the setbacks and grieves which we endure help us in our marching onward.” -Henry Ford
Lots of Love,
“Love. Fall in love and stay in love. Write only what you love, and love what you write. The key word is love. You have to get up in the morning and write something you love, something to live for.” -Ray Bradbury
“The greatest discoveries are those that shed light unto ourselves.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Just as light brightens darkness, discovering inner fulfillment can eliminate any disorder or discomfort. This is truly the key to creating balance and harmony in everything you do.” -Deepak Chopra
“For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?’ And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.” -Steve Jobs
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND YOU CAN CREATE WHAT YOU WANT.
