As you can see by the photos my Brian played his first foot hockey game today. Being that it was new to him, he had mixed emotions during the game. He played here and there but I can tell he needs a little more time to warm up and be more comfortable [just as we all do when we start something new]–my boy sure has potential in all he does! Anyhoo, we had to arrive early to the game to receive his uniform. His coach asks LiL Brian what number he wanted. Coach named 35, another number, 27…. and LiL Brian immediately after coach saying 27, says, “I want 27.” His father and I look at each other right away– he has been playing football ever since I met him 13 years ago and has been number 27 ever since. So after Brian’s game tonight: I asked, “Bri, why did you pick number 27 for your team shirt?” He shrugged his shoulders at first then said, “Because I like the number 27.” Then I asked him, “Do you know who else is number 27?” He said, “No.” I said, “Daddy” …as he looked back behind him and gave his daddy a big cheesy smile. (Brian and LiL Brian were cuddling on the couch together awwww). We thought it was adorable he chose to be number “27” jersey for his team! True Father & Son Love right there!
Happy Father’s Day –Every Day– Daddy!
