Always remember to consciously breathe and release. Breath is very important in this thing we call life. Breath helps calm and puts things into perspective. You are constantly breathing whether it is consciously or unconsciously. Therefore, do your best to be aware of you’re breathing so you can be centered with all of you—your feelings, emotions, thoughts, your moment… align yourself.
Times can be very overwhelming and what better way to bring you back to your calmness than breath?! When you feel life is throwing you too much… Take a step back from the problem that arises and take a slow deep breath in and slowly release (repeat as many times as necessary). Keep in mind that these hard times shall pass too. Even when times are good, continue to breathe and take realization of the feelings that shall overcome you. Be grateful; be appreciative for the moment given to you.
All we have is our breath. Think about it, if it wasn’t for our breathing we would not be here today, we would not simply be alive. Breath keeps the body functioning every single day. The inhales…the exhales… Be in control and bring wellness and health into your life simply by being aware of your breath. Be thankful for your breath.
If you are not in alignment with your breath, there is no better time than to start right now. Be aware; be focused on your breath whenever you can remember. The best part is that you can do this anywhere, at any time. This is something that took me years of practice and I have learned the more I am aware of my breath, the more throughout my day I am conscious of my breath and it does become easier.
As I inhale, I like to visualize I am taking in the breath of love, peace, patience, calm, joy, or whatever it is I am feeling at that moment. As I exhale, I like to visualize I am letting go of all of the toxins, poisons, negative in my body and/or anything that does not serve me anymore. You can visualize and imagine whatever it is that suits you. It doesn’t hurt to give it a try… And keep in mind, the more you do it, the more effective and beneficial it will be for you (on so many levels). There are also many more other techniques and exercises you can do, I will be posting more of the ones I personally use so be on the look-out for upcoming post.
Consciously Breathe…and know everything is going to be alright. Happy Breathing!!!
Love, Light and Blessings,

“When the breath wanders the mind also is unsteady. But when the breath is calmed the mind too will be still, and the yogi achieves long life. Therefore, one should learn to control the breath.” -Svatmarama Hatha Yoga Pradipika
“You know that our breathing is the inhaling and exhaling of air. The organ that serves for this is the lungs that lie round the heart, so that the air passing through them thereby envelops the heart. Thus breathing is a natural way to the heart. And so, having collected your mind within you, lead it into the channel of breathing through which air reaches the heart and, together with this inhaled air; force your mind to descend into the heart and to remain there. “ -Nicephorus the Solitary
“When you own your breath, nobody can steal your peace. “ -Author Unknown
“Breath is Spirit. The act of breathing is Living.” -Author Unknown
“Breathe. Let go. And remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure.” -Oprah Winfrey
“Inhale, and God approaches you. Hold the inhalation, and God remains with you. Exhale, and you approach God. Hold the exhalation, and surrender to God. “ -Krishnamacharya
“Breath is the bridge which connects life to consciousness, which unites your body to your thoughts. “ -Thich Nhat Hanh
“Focusing on the act of breathing clears the mind of all daily distractions and clears our energy enabling us to better connect with the Spirit within.” -Author Unknown
