Art Work by Brian Edison, Age 6

I read my son a story and put him down for bed ~ Two minutes later he comes walking in my art room where I am- “Mommy, I am not tired and cannot sleep.” I respond, “Ok, how about I give you paper and crayons and you can color quietly in your bed?” …As he smiles and says, “Yes,” very excitedly. …And as he was climbing into bed, he says I think I am going to draw a portrait and then another drawing tonight… and several minutes later when he finished he was super eager to show me his wonderful picture he made – he drew a portrait of one of his favorite stuffed animals Pikachu:

He told me I can keep this one ~ How very sweet of my boy! …And so he continued drawing in his room and I went in to check on him to see him doing this amazing free-style flow… He told me how much hard work it was to make and that it was also mine to keep…

I am one blessed mommy<3

After this second drawing, he says to me, “Mommy, now I am tired,” as I tucked him in; he fell fast asleep.
