Bad Days!!! …Have you ever experienced a bad day? I sure have! And what I learn from them are … There is always light, even in the darkest of times. We all have our hard times and we may suffer and feel pain but at the end- it turns out exactly the way it should. I’ve experienced a lot of pain in my life physically, mentally and emotionally. I have had times where I thought I could not pull through, even times where I did give up. I struggled in ways to where I look back and wonder how did I ever pull through such times? But I sure did… and with my complete past being what it is (dark, cold, negative and gloomy); I am proud of the accomplishments I have completed from being more accepting, open, patient, positive and confident. I learned how to forgive myself from all of the choices I made that I thought I could never live with. It is possible to overcome the ‘impossible!’ Yet, I believe it is all a life-long process of learning due to the ongoing experiences we encounter.
“Within each of us is a light, awake, encoded in the fibers of our existence. Divine ecstasy is the totality of this marvelous creation experienced in the hearts of humanity.” -Tony Samara
The obstacles we go through are there to help us learn and grow. We cannot have ‘bad’ if we do not have ‘good,’ yes? How would one know what happiness is if it were not for sadness? …Positive and negative, plus-minus, day-night, up-down, right-left, start-finish and of course LOVE and FEAR… It is what it is and we have to learn to accept it in order to get by all that life gives us. We have to pull through everything we are going through (the darkness) in order to get to the other side (the light). Just when you think you cannot handle a situation anymore, know that it will soon come to an end and to be at ease and focus on the brighter side of the situation while having the belief all is going to be OK (because it will!). By worrying on the bad of it all, I am more likely to stand still and bring myself to unhappy results. We all have our bad days but it is the attitude and behavior that truly counts. How do you react when something does not go as you hoped? Time is something we cannot retain back, so I decide to make the best of each and every moment I am given. I enjoy life and have fun with it. I play with life the way life plays with me.
“Without black, no color has any depth. But if you mix black with everything, suddenly there’s shadow – no, not just shadow, but fullness. You’ve got to be willing to mix black into your palette if you want to create something that’s real.” -Amy Grant
When you are in the deep end of the dark, you can keep reassuring yourself to keep on going and that it will pass on by and that something bigger and better is coming your way (because it really is). Believe and BE just that and you shall receive just that! I like to talk about my success, happy memories, whatever good I know, plant ideas, think of new goals I want to accomplish (map-out and write them down too), ask questions that matter: ‘who am I?’ ‘What is my purpose?’ ‘What are my interests?’ and so on… Think of how you DO want your life to play out and unfold… Keep in mind; the more you talk about your desires, the more you manifest them into your life (especially by taking action on them). Be open and be willing to keep pushing forward with a healthy attitude and well-behaved reactions to the flow of each experience that occurs so life is a more pleasurable ride for you. It is all of us who goes through such difficult challenges, know you are not alone. Each and every one of us has our down and hard times but that does not mean yours is “worse” than someone else’s. We all handle situations differently and although some may be similar or even completely opposite, there is no comparison to another’s experience. No matter what –we end up picking ourselves back up when we reach rock bottom, yes?
“It doesn’t matter how long we may have been stuck in a sense of our limitations. If we go into a darkened room and turn on the light, it doesn’t matter if the room has been dark for a day, a week, or ten thousand years — we turn on the light and it is illuminated. Once we control our capacity for love and happiness, the light has been turned on.” -Sharon Salzberg
Each of our stories are what makes them ours. We live out our very own story due to our every day choices we make. We all have different feelings and emotions and reactions to each event in our lives which may lead each of us to act in such altered ways from one another. What may feel ‘right’ to someone else, may not feel ‘right’ to you. So listen to others stories, learn from them, and be there for them. Share your own story to help others know they are not alone. Be proud of your life and your story of who you are. We are a human race, a family. Let’s stop the hurting of one another and begin to open up to seeing the good in every person and experience because whatever and whoever it is that crosses our paths, are there for a very special reason—to help you learn, grow, develop and flourish into a better you—as long as you are open to the learning opportunity. What I now know is what I experience, no one else will experience nor will they have the same perspective and feelings on the matter. Only I have these feelings and emotions on how I view life. I do not allow what others think of me effect me; only I have the power over me. This is my body, my mind, my heart, my life, my choices. I am the only one to walk my walk. This is my journey, my path—and I believe there is a better tomorrow for me—for all of us. As long as we all have belief in love and hope… for we are light beings—there is a light that shines through each and every single one of us—even during the most darkest of times. Look deep into your heart—it will shine on forevermore.
“On life’s journey faith is nourishment, virtuous deeds are a shelter, wisdom is the light by day and right mindfulness is the protection by night. If a man lives a pure life, nothing can destroy him.” -Buddha
We can all achieve and live out our true desires and passions….Be in this moment—in this very present of the now and live out all of your dreams.
Let’s rise above all of the fear, hate and darkness. Instead let’s BE the love, peace and LIGHT we truly are!
Never give up and keep moving forward!!! Keep shining ever-so-brightly.
Lots of Love,
“And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.” -Nelson Mandela
